Getting ‘Smart’ in Germany with AGB and Imago

AGB at Fensterbau 2016

Last month we made the trip over to Germany to visit the Fensterbau Frontale exhibition. This leading international event based in Nuremberg, brings together experts in the timber window and door industries – and we thought we’d pop over and check out what’s new in the world of windows and doors!

With the fast moving pace of innovations in window and door technology we believe it’s important that we manage to stay at the forefront of the industry to ensure that we can supply you with the most up to date and on-trend joinery and construction products.

It was very apparent from the latest offerings from manufacturers such as Winkhaus, Maco and Siegenia, that innovative home automation is becoming increasingly popular. ‘Home automation’, ‘smart technology’, ‘intelligent living’, ‘the internet of things’ or whatever name you wish to give it, gives cutting edge architects and house builders the tools to enable consumers the ability to control their home via smart scheduling, motion sensors or with just a simple click from their smartphone.

Our stand out products from the show go to AGB - manufacturers of Imago Lift and Slide patio door systems, who chose the Fensterbau Frontale exhibition to showcase its new electronic ‘Smart Home’ concept. The i.MOTION Lift and Slide Door features a motorised system to suit Imago Lift and Slide doors and the new Automatic Smart Lock makes opening your front door from your smartphone a reality.

The AGB ‘Smart Home’ system sets the benchmark for the future of locking systems AGB says, delivering high quality, high performance product at moderate cost. These exciting new products and concepts are due to be released soon.
